Testing between centers is carried out using high-precision tailstocks on a rigid measuring bench (e.g., made of special cast iron or natural granite). This method is ideal for all workpieces featuring a center hole. The centering tips guarantee the highest possible accuracy because, unlike classic roller blocks, no additional measuring errors are introduced by integrated ball bearings.

Centerless Runout Testing: Flexibility Without Center

If your workpieces do not have a center hole or feature a particularly high dead weight, precise roller blocks, disc blocks, or wheel blocks are utilized.
