2014
New logistic area
Compliance with the highest quality standards and observance of the delivery deadlines are the prerequisite for a high customer’s satisfaction. Under the responsibility of Nelson Bayer (Quality & Process Management) the premises in the head office Glattbach were first analysed and then efficiently equipped, on the basis of a theoretical optimum workflow.
2013
ULTRA 125-year anniversary
On the occasion of the company’s anniversary the Chamber of Commerce Aschaffenburg handed over a Cerfificate, as a sign of esteem for the entrepreneurial performance and steadiness. ULTRA has been well-established in the metrology field for a long time. With an above-average export share, today ULTRA supplies customers in over 100 countries worldwide.
2012
Certification
DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 becomes the basic concept of the ULTRA Quality Management System. ULTRA performs excellent processes and highest quality based on the PDCA cycle.
2004
Special solutions become day-to-day business
The company won a new orientation under the management of Stefan Bayer. The purpose is to realise individual measuring and testing systems as well as special gauges specifically designed for the part range of our customers. Nowadays ULTRA is a competent partner for all the metrology-related special solutions.
1997
New company’s head office in Glattbach
Permanent growth requires a larger establishment, therefore the family of entrepreneurs „Bayer“ decided to relocate the company’s headstone in Glattbach, in the year 1997.
1990
Succession policy
Stefan Bayer, the eldest son of Werner Bayer, joined the company already at the age of 25 years, and henceforth he took charge of the sales and of the marketing of the ULTRA products as well as of the product management.
1984
Take-over by Werner Bayer
After the separation from FAG the company was taken over by Werner Bayer who re-founded it under the name ULTRA PRÄZISION MESSZEUGE GMBH. Under his leadership metrology has become the core business of the company again. Due to the dislocation of the production in several smaller manufacturing workshops, most part of them having their origin in the traditional past of the initial company, a considerable range of high-quality measuring tools and gauges, measuring devices and precision parts could be created within a very short time.
1955
Take-over by Schäfer (later on FAG Kugelfischer)
The specialisation of the production in FAG specific fields lead to the result that the core product range of measuring tools and gauges was pushed into the background.
1930
Take-over by Carl Jacob Kolb
Carl Jacob Kolb used the name „ULTRA PRÄZISIONSWERK ASCHAFFENBURG“ for the first time and he did justice to this designation due to his energy and vision.
1888
Foundation year of ULTRA
August Kirsch, the founding father, established a modern factory for gauges and measuring tools in Aschaffenburg. Thus the year 1888 is the foundation year of ULTRA.
